The Coimbatore City Corporation has started free NEET coaching classes for Class XI and XII students for the 2025 academic year. The coaching is being held in partnership with TIME Institute at Sidhapudur Corporation Higher Secondary School.
A total of 125 students from 16 corporation-run schools will take part in the program. Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran said that coaching sessions will be held every Saturday and Sunday. The schedule may change based on student needs. Free study materials will also be given.
Students from corporation schools who are reappearing for NEET can also join the classes. Last year, five students from the free coaching program passed the NEET exam.
The program was launched in the presence of District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, Coimbatore MP Ganapathy P. Rajkumar, Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan, and other officials.
