This continuous hike left jewellery lovers anxious. Gold prices dipped slightly last Monday; on Tuesday they fell by ₹640. On Wednesday, the price of 22-carat gold in Chennai dropped by ₹40 per sovereign and was sold at ₹84,320. Prices rose again on Thursday and Friday.
