கோவை பீளமேடு மற்றும் ஹோப் கல்லூரி பகுதிகளில்  இரயில்வே மேம்பாலம் தொடர்பான இரும்பு பாலம் அமைக்கும் பணி இன்று (ஜூலை 9) முதல் தொடங்கியுள்ளது. இதனால், சில முக்கிய  இரயில்கள் மாற்றுப்பாதையில் இயக்கப்பட உள்ளன. ஜூலை 10 முதல் 13 வரை: 16316 – திருவனந்தபுரம் – மைசூரு விரைவு இரயில் 22503 – கன்னியாகுமரி – திப்ரூகர் விரைவு இரயில் இவை போத்தனூர் – இருகூர் வழியாக இயக்கப்படுவதால், கோவை இரயில் நிலையம் வழியாக செல்லாது. போத்தனூர் இரயில் நிலையம் கூடுதல் நிறுத்தமாக செயல்படும். மேலும்: ஜூலை 12 – 16317: கன்னியாகுமரி – வைஷ்ணோதேவி கட்ரா ஜூலை 13 – 22669: எர்ணாகுளம் – பாட்னா இந்த இரயில்களும் கோவை நிலையம் தவிர்த்து, மாற்றுப்பாதையில் இயக்கப்படும். அதேபோல்: 16187 – காரைக்கால் – எர்ணாகுளம் நீலகிரி விரைவு இரயில் – சென்னை சென்ட்ரல் – மேட்டுப்பாளையம் 18567 – ஜூலை 11: விசாகப்பட்டினம் – கொல்லம் இவை அனைத்தும் இருகூர் – போத்தனூர் வழியாகவே செல்லும். பயணிகள் தங்களது பயணத் திட்டங்களை அதற்கேற்ப மாற்றிக் கொள்ள  இரயில்வே துறை அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளது.

கோவையில் உள்ள தமிழ்நாடு வேளாண் பல்கலைக்கழகத்திலும், அண்ணாமலைப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் கூட்டிணைப்பு கல்லூரியிலும் இளநிலை வேளாண்மை, தோட்டக்கலை, மீன்வளம் உள்ளிட்ட பாடப்பிரிவுகளில் சேர்க்கைக்கான கலந்தாய்வு நாளை (ஜூலை 9) தொடங்கி ஜூலை 15 வரை ஆன்லைனில் நடைபெறும். 7.5% இடஒதுக்கீடு மற்றும் பொதுப்பிரிவிற்கான கலந்தாய்வு அட்டவணை தற்போது வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
