Gold prices in Tamil Nadu have been witnessing daily fluctuations over the past few days. On Wednesday morning, the price of gold increased by ₹40 per gram, with one gram selling at ₹12,870. The price per sovereign (22-carat) also rose by ₹320 to ₹1,02,960. However, by evening, gold prices declined sharply. The price fell by ₹70 per gram to ₹12,800, while the sovereign rate dropped by ₹560 to ₹1,02,400. In Chennai today, gold prices continued their downward trend. The price of 22-carat gold has decreased by ₹400 per sovereign, bringing the rate down to ₹1,02,000. Similarly, the price per gram has fallen by ₹50 and is currently selling at ₹12,750. Silver prices have also declined today. The price of silver has reduced by ₹5 per gram and is now selling at ₹272 per gram. Meanwhile, bar silver is being sold at ₹2,72,000.
